How to Operate with a Blown Mind
Things are moving slow this morning. I took my English test. I left one identification blank. I had no earthly idea what poem it was from or who wrote it. Also, there were three discussion questions. I drew a blank on the questions about Byron. I opted for a easy one, Btron as an athelete and a soldier. I spoke of him swimming the Hellespont and soldiering for Greek independence from Turkey. It was a sheer BS- but it should buy me some points. Hopefully it'll garner enough to give me an A. The other two discussion questions were okay. The first was the importance of friends and family with John Keats and the second question was about Shelley's attitude toward tyranny. The second question was a brief summary of my paper plus a mention of Shelley going to Ireland for Catholic Emmancipation after his expulsion from Oxford, Shelley marrying his first wife to rescue her from the tyranny of her father, and, last but not least, his work in fighting for Greek independence. Ugh. I hope I did alright. I am sure I nailed the 12 identification questions that I answered. I only hope it's enough for an A.

Next up is Spanish. According to the syllabus we are scheduled to do an oral presentation of the compositions we wrote last week, which we've yet to have returned to us. We are instead orally reading some dialogue from the book with a partner. Monday we'll be presenting the compositions. Yuck.

This was suppose to have been posted yesterday, but for some reason it didn't take-
I received my 3rd American Government test back this morning. I did better this time than last time. If you'll recall I sored a 96 on the first test (the highest in the class) and the second time I scored a 94. This time I scored a 96.5 on the test. There was one short answer question that I had to quess for and that was all the difference (well, that and the three multiple choice questions I missed). From what I figure this latest test gives me a 88.83 in the class.

We also turned in our papers in Am.Gov't. Hopefully that will give my grade a boost as well. Starting today I'm making a concerted effort to take better notes to review before the tests. I am sure with a couple of tests in the class still that I can pull my grade up to an A.
