10 Years After

My return to college

9.13.2002

Friday the Thirteenth!
Man, it was hard to concentrate in British Lit today. We wrapped up Wordsworth and started on Samuel Taylor Coleridge. I find that Coleridge joined the military under the alias of Silas Tomkyn Comerbacke fascinating. We barely started discussion of the first Coleridge poem, Eolian Harp, and the instructor has already handed out the reading list for the next poet. Not that I am complaining. I wish we had a syllabus that contained the reading list for the whole semester. Another wish would be for a faster pace. Maybe if he wouldn't read the poems to the class that we were already suppose to have read on our own. Except, of course, for particularly relevant portions. I'm curious to see what the format of the tests in this class will be.
